Manufacturer Definitions

Any part described as “OEM” (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a part made by the same manufacturer as the original in your device; This does not necessarily mean that the part has been directly purchased from the manufacturer, or that Phone Spares UK is in any way affiliated to the manufacturer.

Any part described as “Part-OEM” or “Part-Original” is a part that contains either OEM or Original components, but has been assembled by a third party. These parts often provide the higher quality of OEM/Original with a cost closer to a third party component.

Any part described as “Original” has either been purchased by us from the manufacturer directly, or from a supplier that deals directly with the manufacturer. We have taken all possible steps to ensure that our suppliers source their original parts directly from the manufacturer, but cannot accept any liability or responsibility if this is found to be false.

Any part described as “Refurbished” is an original part salvaged from a device by a professional recycling company. These parts may have signs of previous usage such as surface scratches, but will be 100% functional and covered by the same warranty as a new part. These parts are usually only offered in cases where a new replacement part is unavailable on the market, or where a sizeable price saving can be passed on to our customers.

Any part described as “Compatible/Third Party” is a part made by a manufacturer that specialises in aftermarket parts. These parts can offer a much more budget friendly option, and in some cases offer more features than an original/OEM part (such as larger capacity batteries, or certain mobile phone home buttons). We always ensure that any compatible/third party parts meet our strict quality standards.
